About Rebecca

I Treat Patients the way I needed to be treated.

Board-certified nurse practitioner, author, and more than a decade of clinical experience, from RN to NP. I did not learn to practice this way in a classroom. I learned it as the patient who could not get answers.

The turning point

I have been on both sides of this exam room.

The clinician's side, and the side where you are handed your bloodwork and nobody can tell you what it means.

Before

I spent years on the clinician's side, first as a nurse and then as a nurse practitioner. I knew what conventional medicine does well, because I was the one doing it. Emergencies, acute care, the moments where modern medicine is remarkable.

The accident

Then a life-altering accident put me on the other side of it. Conventional care did what it is built to do and got me through. Fully recovering took more than that.

My own health

Separately, I was dealing with chronic health issues of my own. Some of my bloodwork came back normal. Some of it did not. Either way, nobody could tell me what it meant or what to do next. I was handed numbers and left to work out the rest myself.

The shift

Trial and error got me feeling better. It also kept me guessing. What took it to another level was learning to read bloodwork through a functional, optimal-range framework, and finally understanding what my body actually needed.

That is the work I do now, so that nobody else has to guess their way there.

How I practice

Evidence-based care, read through a wider lens.

The full picture, not one number

Symptoms, timeline, lifestyle, stress, and the patterns underneath them. A single value in isolation almost never tells you what is actually happening.

Optimal ranges, not standard ones

Standard ranges are built to catch disease. Optimal ranges catch dysfunction while it is still early, and while it is still reversible.

Clarity you can act on

Complexity translated into steps you can actually take. You should leave understanding your own body better, not holding a stack of paper.

Alongside conventional care

Not instead of it. If something you bring me needs a conventional workup or a specialist, I will tell you directly and help you get there.

Health is not built through quick fixes. It is built through awareness, consistency, and aligning your daily habits with what your body actually needs.

More about the book

How the practice works

A private practice, kept small on purpose.

  • Fully telehealth, so where you live does not decide who you get to work with.
  • Private cash-pay. No insurance panel deciding how long we get or what is worth covering.
  • A limited number of clients at a time, because this work does not get better by seeing more people faster.
  • Your bloodwork is read by me. Every analysis and every written summary comes from a clinician who has actually spoken with you, not from software that fills in a template.
In a client's words
She carefully analyzed my health information and explained her observations with clarity, depth, and an impressive understanding of how the body systems work together at a physiological level. She was able to answer all of my questions easily, which gave me a great deal of confidence in her professionalism and expertise.
